What if your cat nips or scratches you while petting? What should you do? Say very sternly NO and stop petting the cat. Avoid playing rough with your cat at any time.

What if you have a cat that is constantly meowing? Well of course this is a cat's way of "talking" to you or just talking, but what is the conversation about. You have to figure it out. Females in heat will meow as if they are in pain and grief and heartbroken. It is worse if there is no male present. She will sit in the window as if she is looking for Romeo who left her and cry her eyes out with the meows. Solution: Spay her or get her a male cat boyfriend. Solves this type of crying every time. I had female cats that lived with their male partner who would lay in the floor and roll around and carry on until it was time to mate and of course the male knew exactly when that time was, but until the time came, this female seemed to be in constant pain and constant meowing. Of course, after pregnancy, and birthing their kittens, they are in heaven and then forget all about the male cat. Happy days are back again!

What if your cat jumps on the counters and/or the furniture? Well know this fact. Cats love high places. Provide them with toys or towers that reach to the ceiling and they will be happiest. To stop them from jumping on the counters and refrigerators, etc., simply take them down to the floor and give them a stern NO. This may take several tries. Be patient.
